Golgatha: Show Me Your Glory!

ELVizion Travels would like to wish you and your family a wonderful Easter weekend.

Did you know that within the story of Moses, the LORD gives us a glimpse of Golgatha and the Cross (Execution Stake)?

golgatha: place of the skull

When you visit Israel, one of the highlight’s of your tour will be the Garden Tomb. The evidence that this is the actual site of the crucifixion, burial and resurrection of Yeshua (Jesus) is very compelling. And yet, even more than evidence many who visit remark that “there is a witness in their spirit.” What makes the Garden Tomb special is not just the location, but the message of the resurrection! It is the manifest Glory of God through Yeshua that is life changing—and that revelation doesn’t begin in the New Testament.

In Exodus 33:18 Moses asks the LORD to show him His glory! And the LORD responds, “I MYSELF will make all My goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the name of the LORD before you . . . You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!” The LORD continues saying, “Behold, there is a place by Me, and you shall stand there on the rock; and it will come to pass when My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with My hand while I pass by. Then I will take My hand away and you shall see My back, but My face shall not be seen.”

Isaiah 53 reads, “But He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” He continues, He was taken from prison and from judgement: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. . .”

The whole revelation of G-D’s glory is ultimately revealed in the stripes and execution of the Messiah.

Paul said, “But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Messiah the LORD Jesus, by whom the world is crucified unto me and I unto the world.” In Colossians 1 & 2 we learn how far reaching the power and the glory of the cross was — Paul writing, “For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell; and, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.” For this is, “even the mystery which has been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest in his saints: to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Messiah in you, the hope of glory.” (Colossians 1:19-21)

Ultimately, when Moses said “show me your glory,” the LORD responded with an, I will show you My finest and most complete work— the crucifixion of My flesh. This is the answer to your prayers, Moses; for instead of destroying your people, I am going to deliver them, heal them, and take away all their sins, transgression and iniquities. My glory Moses — it’s in My stripes for healing and My blood for atonement—that’s where you will find My Glory!

For all our Christian Friends - Have a glorious resurrection day! And may it be next year in Jerusalem with ELVizion!

For this Easter Season we have added to special clips from the Movie Ben Hur, starring Charlton Heston, produced in 1959. These clips reflect the testimony of God's glory in the Execution Stake!

This film won an Academy Award. The first clip is Ben Hur's encounter with Jesus, while he was still a carpenter.

This second clip follows the crucifixion. Ben Hur's mother and sister were both lepers. After Jesus cried it is finished and the earth began to quake, both his sister and mother were miraculously healed.
